There is no better way to see the stunning sites of East Africa than on a 10-day Kilimanjaro and safari package!
Rising 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above the savanna and Rift Valley of Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak on the whole continent.
The easiest of the world’s Seven Summit can be climbed in less than one week with no previous mountaineering experience. However, we will gain altitude quickly and have several days of steep hikes, so participants will need to be in good shape.
The adventure begins shortly after we meet at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Moshi. The following day, we set out to Kilimanjaro National Park and the trekking begins.
Over the course of the next four days, we will hike through dense rainforest, open heath and rugged scree landscapes en route to the summit.
On the fifth day of the trip, we ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest on the massif, and watch the sunrise up over world below. This will truly be an unforgettable moment in your life.
After descending from the mountain, the safari part of the trip begins. Over the course of two days, we will visit Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater – the eight wonder of the natural world.
In both of these locales, we will have plenty of chances to see all of East Africa’s most iconic and rare wildlife, including black rhinos and maybe even the elusive leopard.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this once-in-a-lifetime 10-day Kilimanjaro and safari package in extraordinary East Africa!
If you like the look of this trip, but want to skip the safari, then we think you may also enjoy our 5-day climb on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route!
After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will meet the guide and transfer to the Salinero Hotel in Moshi.
We will start the day by transferring to the trailhead in the national park and begin our hike. This will take us along a lesser-taken path through a dense rainforest.
Distance covered: 10.8km / 6.7mi
Approx. time taken: 6 hours
We will continue our trek to Kilimanjaro, making a steep ascent out of the forest and onto the Shira plateau, from which point we will have great views of the surroundings.
Distance covered: 5.4km / 3.4mi
Approx. time taken: 5 hours
We will continue our trek, ascending up into a more arid part of the mountain. As we go, we will pass under the Lava tower before making a brief descent to the camp at which we will spend the night.
Distance covered: 10.8km / 6.7mi
Approx. time taken: 8 hours
We will start the day by hiking down into the Great Barranco ravine before ascending a steep wall on the other side. From here, we continue hiking through rock and over volcanic scree, which is quite tiring but not technical, until we reach our camp.
Distance covered: 8.5km / 5.3mi
Approx. time taken: 8 hours
Starting at midnight, we will begin our ascent to the summit, hiking up steep scree. From the top, we will enjoy the sunrise over Africa from the continent’s highest point, before descending back down to Barafu Camp.
Distance covered: 16.4km / 9.6mi
Approx. time taken: 13hours – 15hours
We will spend the day hiking back down through the rainforest and out to Mweka Gate then transfer to the hotel.
Distance covered: 9.1km / 7.5miles
Approx. time taken: 3 hours
After getting up early in the morning, we will transfer to Tarangire National Park and spend the day wildlife watching. At the end of the day, we will transfer to the lodge.
We will descend into the deep Ngorongoro crater and spend the day wildlife watching again. The crater is densely populated and home to just about every species of animal native to East Africa. At the end of the day, we will return to Moshi.
We will take you from the hotel to the airport and say goodbye.

Mount Kilimanjaro Such an incredible journey! The whole experience was perfect. Leone and Jonathon guided us safely, Abbas and Pray kept us fed, Mr. Machame carried the heaviest loads, Joshua and Ramadan and the rest of the group made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime. We hope to see the entire crew again soon.
As Advertised Sirikwa handled everything. Very responsive and respectful, didn't need to worry about local or hidden fees. Exactly as advertised. The trek was great!
9 Day Safari + 4 Days in Zanzibar I highly, highly recommend Sirikwa Travel. My best friend and I did a nine day safari in Tanzania's northern circuit of national parks and then four days in Zanzibar. It was an absolutely amazing trip of a lifetime!

We had an amazing time during our journey to the summit of Lenana . It was really difficult but with the help and accurate direction of our guide , James, we were able to reach the summit just to eclipse our eyes with the sunrise. I will never forget the images and the feeling of accomplishment from the top . During our ascendant we had a wonderful team of driver , porters , cook and guide : Willis, bernard, terrace, Joseph, jackelin, Simon , Tim and James ; all of them gave to us a warm welcome, always smiling and making sure we were confortable and mostly safe. The only discomfort was at Shipton camp where the conditions are really precarious. It looks like no one care about honouring the beauty of nature that surround the camp. They ( rock mountain hotel ) should respect such a lovely location, be proud and take measurements to have a camp on the level that the site offers. We really felt like sleeping in a pig pen 1 toilet for 20 people with bumped beds with not ladders and no space between one another . Really it is a place that need URGENTLY a remake . With regard on the main agency EXPLORE-SHARE ; we experienced an issue post booking . We did not received clear information, our question where not answered , etc . Fortunately , Nicky came and sorted out everything for us ( grateful forever) she made the changes needed and we finally got the best ( Siriwa travel). In short “UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, where challenge is constantly surrounded by a great scenery in a huge National Park”. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
