On this kayaking adventure week, we will take you to the best two rivers of the Croatian Highlands and then continue the experience with some sea kayaking and more river excitement in Northern Dalmatia.
On this tour, we will explore different kayaking styles and spend 6 days exploring the wild waters of Croatia. You do not need any prior experience as your guide will show you how to use the equipment and apply safety rules and techniques. Waterfalls, canyons, rocks, and simple rivers will all be part of the experience. Children as young as 6 years old are welcome to come.
Below, you will find a detailed day-by-day itinerary of what this tour entails. If you would like to join us on this unique adventure, then you can contact us and we will make all the arrangements together in order to ensure an unforgettable kayaking holiday in Croatia!
We will meet you at Zagreb or Rijeka Airport, after introductions, you will be transferred to a hotel in the Dobra River valley, across from an old Croatian castle. You will settle in, meet other members of the group and go over a short trip briefing.
Welcome dinner and walk or swim in the calm river.
Discover the longest river in Croatia, with optional rafting depending on the season. You will receive instructions and equipment and then set off on a beautiful river with steep forested mountains.
After we get back on dry land, and change, we will head back to the hotel, have dinner, and have an optional walk to a nearby castle.
After breakfast, we will drive to the Mreznica River base camp. After an equipment and safety check, we will set off and combine kayaking and canyoning over the course of a 4-6 hour total. You will ride down waterfalls, jump from the cliffs, go on natural water slides, or walk around them, depending on your comfort level.
When we return to dry land, we will travel down to the Zadar area and settle into a hotel close to the beach.
Rab has the best beaches, bays, and views, and after breakfast, we will drive up the coastal highway and take a ferry to our launching spot. We will spend some time on instruction and practice, as it is a different type of kayaking and then we will begin to paddle.
We will take time to explore, stop for lunch at a restaurant, swim, and relax on the beach before returning to the hotel.
The Zrmanja River is located in the Velebit Nature Park – the Zrmanja, an up to 200m deep canyon and will be our final kayaking destination.
We will encounter bigger and smaller waterfalls and also enjoy some cliff jumping, swimming, or relaxing on the rocks. We will spend around 4 hours on the river.
After returning to the hotel, we will enjoy a swim in the sea and a Dalmatian farewell dinner.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zadar Airport.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
