In spite of its small size, you could spend an entire lifetime exploring Nepal and still not discover all that this marvelous little country has to offer! To that end, we offer you our Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara hiking tour.
Over the course of eight days, this tour serves as a perfect sampling of the country, taking visitors from the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the capital, to the Nepalese jungle and, of course, into some of the country’s most iconic Himalayan wilderness.
The adventure begins shortly after you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport. After transferring to the three-star hotel, we will spend the evening exploring the nearby tourist market in Themel.
The following day, we will have a proper tour, visiting all of the most iconic spots in the city, including its various UNESCO World Heritage sites. (For a detailed itinerary, see below.)
Once we’ve had our fill of Nepal’s capital, we will move on to the Royal Chitwan National Park. Here, we will get the chance to see some of Nepal’s rare and endangered wildlife, including the one-horned rhino and elephants.
While we’re here, we’ll get the chance to explore the park from all angles, hiking in the thick jungle as well as canoeing on one of the park’s rivers.
After exploring the jungle, it is time for the highlight of the trip. We will drive from Chitwan National Park on to Pokhara. Along the way, we’ll get simply stunning views of the Annapurna massif and get the chance to explore a temple, waterfall, cave, museum and gorge. Talk about an eclectic experience!
Perhaps the climax of the trip is the following day, when we get up early and drive to Sarankot, in order to see a sunrise over the iconic Himalayan mountains. It’s really an unforgettable experience.
Our trip winds down with a day of exploring Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu and saying our goodbyes.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this unforgettable 8-day Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara tour in stunningly scenic Nepal!
If you like the look of this trip then we think you may also enjoy our 3-day Chisapani Nagarkot Trek, near Kathmandu!
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and meet someone from the company. From here, we will transfer to the hotel and you will get settled in. In the evening, we will visit the tourist market in Thamel.
We will spend the day sightseeing in Kathmandu, visiting the Pashupatinath area, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunatha Stupa, Durbar Square and Kumari Temple.
We will transfer to Royal Chitwan National Park and enjoy a nature walk through the jungle.
We will spend the day exploring the national park, which includes an elephant safari, canoeing on the river and a visit to the Tharu village.
We will drive from Chitwan to Pokahara, enjoying great views of the Annapurna massif and visiting Bindabasini Temple, Davi’s fall, Gupteshwar Cave, a regional museum as well as the Seti River Gorge along the way.
We will get up early in order to drive to an overlook and get some incredible sunrise views. The rest of the day will be spent on either an adventure activity or exploring Pokhara.
We will spend the day driving from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell dinner of traditional cuisine and dancing.
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and we will take you to the airport.
