This trek along the Kanab creek will take you deep into the Grand Canyon. You will get to walk on trails, and visit areas not many people venture to. And with the trek lasting 7 days and covering over 70 kilometers, you will be able to enjoy enough breathtaking views to last a lifetime.
Due to the wild and remote location of this hike, it is a very strenuous adventure. As a result, it is imperative that participants are physically fit enough to maintain the tough pace for an entire week, and to have the necessary experience to safely enjoy the trek. But if you do fit the criteria, you will be in for the adventure of a lifetime!
There is so much to see along the Kanab creek, which happens to be the longest tributary of the Colorado river. From ancient pictographs and looming slot canyons to springs and grottoes, you will see a great deal. Other more specific highlights include the Sowats Canyon, Whispering Falls and the Esplanade. With so much to see, it is important to get a good night’s rest, which you will get to enjoy on various campsites under the starry sky.
Exploring the Grand Canyon is an opportunity anybody who loves the outdoors should seize. And on this week long trek, I would like to show you the remote, wild and arduous Kanab creek area. Do you think you’re up to it? Would you like to challenge yourself and find out? Then send us a request and let’s find out.
