Located at the border between Pakistan and China, K2 is a magnificent peak. The trek to its Base Camp offers a glimpse of the rich diversity of the region along with providing spectacular views of several high peaks of the Karakoram range.

We’ll start our K2 Base Camp Trek from the capital city of Islamabad. Post a day of sightseeing and relaxation, we’ll board a scenic flight to Skardu. The aerial journey offers striking views of the Nanga Parbat and the neighboring mountains.

Our days will begin early during the entire length of the trek. The trail leads from lush forests to rocky, snow-covered terrain until we reach Concordia, the heart of the Karakoram range. You’ll be delighted to see the charm of this beautiful spot.

Striding past Baltoro Glacier, we’ll reach the K2 base camp by the thirteenth day. A strenuous trek past the imposing Broad Peak leads us there. And once we arrive, you’ll be amazed and humbled to see several imposing peaks above 8000 m standing tall in all their glory! The Broad Peak (8047m), the Gasherbrums and K2 (8,611m) are a few mountains which we encounter here.

The trek offers ample time for acclimatization at several spots during the journey. Also, it doesn’t require you to be a climbing expert but demands that you are fit and used to long hikes. Our trained guide will keep you aware and informed to ensure your safe ascent.

We’ll return via the same route, ending this remarkable journey in Islamabad.
