The Jbel Saghro mountains are located in southern Morocco. They are so dry that the landscapes, with great wind-chiseled protrusions, are truly impressive and otherworldly. The region is also home to nomads and traditional Berber people. Trekking in this part of the world is truly unique and well worth it!

Your first day will take you straight from the airport to the Saghro region. After you have been met by your team, you will travel to Taourirt via Quarzazarte and Qalaa M’Gouna to meet your mules and their handlers. The day will be about 5 hours of driving.
After loading the mules, you and your group will head out into the Saghro region, through rose bush fields toward the Black Mountains for a day of trekking that lasts approximately 5 hours. When you reach where you will spend the night, a bivouac in Amalou N’ Ouchhenne, you can look out over the immense vista of the High Atlas, as it reaches heights of over 4000m.
From Tizi’n’Tagmout at 1950 m, you and your party will trek down to visit the village of the same name. From there, you will head on out toward Assaka Aït Ouzzine, a village where you will bivouac at the end of your 6 hour day. You will also pass the beautiful Tizi’n’Tagmout Pass on your travels.
The 4th day will consist of 6 hours of trekking and take you past the sheep pens of Akerkour and through Irhazzoun’N’Imlas, a hamlet of pisé dwellings, to make camp there.
4 hours of trekking will bring you deep into the Saghro region and introduce you to some wonderful sights. Tadaout’N’Tablah appears as a forest of rocky peaks and at Tizi‘N’Taggourt, you will encounter what has been described as a gigantic head of bones’ at the plateau. Your bivouac will be at Igli, an area populated with some houses and cultivated farming areas.
After an early morning, you and the group will travel up into the Djebel Saghro ridges and trek to the northern slope through Tizi Ouarg, with a simply stunning view of the massif. After 6 hours, you’ll make bivouac camp in Ouarg.
Heading out in the morning, you’ll arrive at Boumane, near Dades, before arriving in Ouarzazate. After Quarzazarte, you’ll carry on to the Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech in the middle of the afternoon. After 6 hours of traveling, you can have a shower and a meal at your hotel.
The last day is yours to do with as you please. If you would like to carry on exploring the wonders of Morocco, contact Mohamed and Brahim.

We had an amazing trek to Toubkal with Sabir and Hammid. Sabir was a great guide and also very good at telling us about local culture. Hammid was a great chef, the food was always delicious and there was always enough for us 3 big hungry guys. We can definitely recommend doing this beautiful trek with Sabir and Hammid.

Our trip to the Atlas Mountains & summit of Toubkal was one of the best experiences of my partner and I’s lives. Mohammad the organiser was friendly, helpful and made us feel safe and at home. Jamal our guide was amazing. He ensured we made it to the top of the mountain whilst explaining local culture and history. We formed a strong bond and I was very sad to be leaving. As the weather was good and we made the summit and back in 2 days we had time to mountain bike through the valley for the third day, again with Jamal showing us the ropes and treating us to fresh mint tea. A truly unforgettable trip and we will certainly be back when we can. Thank you Mohammad, Jamal and the beautiful village of Imlil and it’s surroundings.

We had a fantastic three days organised meticulously by Mohamed and led by Hasan. Hiking up Toubkal was beautiful, and Hasan even took us up another peak too. The food and accomodation were exceptional and everyone was so friendly. I wouldn't hesitate t recommend and will definitely return!

Abdul was a fantastic guide and made the journey very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure to keep a pace which was challenging but doable for all participants. Mohamed was an excellent cook as well and I always looked forward to his meals. The area was beautiful and the climb to Mt. Toubkal is certainly unforgettable. I'm very glad I choose this tour, especially at this price.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
