“Iron Crown”, 3-day High alpine trek and via ferrata in the Wilder Kaiser

Join us on this exciting tour of high alpine trekking and via ferrata in the Wilder Kaiser! We will spend 3 days hiking the beautiful “Iron Crown” of Austria.

On this tour, we will hike the “Eisenkrone” which translates to “Iron Crown”. This is a circuit which passes about five via ferratas and crosses six mountain peaks.

We will visit Grutten Hut, which is the highest mountain lodge in the Wilder Kaiser Mountain Range. We will also reach the tallest summit in the Wilder Kaiser Mountain Range, Elmauer Halt. Elmauer Halt sits at over 2,300 meters above sea level. We will experience some of the most secluded, serene locations in the Wilder Kaiser wilderness.

This tour is for hikers who have some experience and are in good physical condition. It is important that you feel comfortable on uneven land and have experience with both mountaineering and via ferrata climbing.

All of the amazing panoramic views will make the effort of this hike well worth it! We will see all the beauty of the Wilder Kaiser Range and the Kitzbühel Alps. We will visit the Hohe Tauern Range in the south and the tranquil landscapes of the Chiemsee Lake in the north. You will leave with beautiful photos and memories to last a life time!
