Introductory ski touring course in the Kitzbuheler Alps

If you are taking the first steps in the world of ski touring and are planning to come to the Kitzbuheler Alps, this course is just for you!

It’s my pleasure to invite you to this 4-day introductory ski touring course in the Kitzbuheler Alps. I think it is the perfect region to practice this exciting activity thanks to its stunning powder slopes. Furthermore, this region has ski touring and off-piste options for all levels.

During the course we may visit the areas of Ellmau, Fieberbrunn, Steinplatte, Kirchberg and Kitzbühel.

This training program is aimed to take intermediate and expert skiers off the slopes and go into the back country skiing. I will help you choose the best ascents, which can be made either using skis with skins or simply by the ski lifts. And the best part comes when it’s descent time! You will live the amazing feeling of descending through incredible off-piste and powder slopes!

During this 4-day ski touring course, participants will learn:

• How to plan a ski tour;

• The most important off-piste skiing techniques;

• Some ascent techniques;

• Snow and avalanche recognition;

• How to use the ski touring equipment correctly.

This program is available for snowboarders as well. I can lead a group of 6 participants maximum. All of you must be able to ascend during 3 and 5 hours per day, over technically easy terrain. Some previous ski touring experience is also necessary.

Remember I can adjust the program according to your own wishes and expectations. I can even add more training days if you wish.
