Introductory Rock Climbing course for beginners

Mountain lovers, join me in this incredible trip to the Austrian Alps to learn the basics of rock climbing! This 4-day course will teach you the fundamental aspects of this sport, while enjoying the company of the nature.

This training includes contents such as how to walk in unmarked and difficult terrain and scrambling.

Moreover, you will learn the basic rock climbing techniques.

And, in addition, the making of elementary knots and rope techniques.

Last but not least, you will acquire knowledge on Via Ferrata.

The term “Via Ferrata” is the Italian translation of “iron road”. The difference with regular climbing is that there are fixed cables, foot holds and ladders attached to the rock.

These are placed there to make the ascent and descent easier for climbers.

More importantly, you will get to learn and put into practice your knowledge right away.

This program will make you go from hiking trails to unmarked rocky terrain. And finally, you will be climbing your first rock walls.

I will be your guide and my task will be to plan the tours for you to gain experience and confidence.

Each rock climbing group will have 6 members maximum. This is done simply to guarantee the trip’s safety. And also, for me to be able to help each person effectively.

The area we will use as location for the 4 days is the one around the Schmidt Zabierow Hut in the Loferer Steinberge.

I consider this setting to provide all we need for your training course to be successful.

If you are planning to come with children or people who do not want to climb, I could organize challenging walks.

By hiking through the insides of this area, you will get to live a unique experience.

The only requirement to participate is to be able to walk for 4 to 6 hours a day. And of course to feel comfortable with heights.
