Ever wanted to try out scrambling in the great outdoors? Well then come and join me in the Lake District for this incredible 2-day introductory course!
This course is perfect for hill walkers and inexperienced scramblers who want to learn the skills and gain the experience to take on more adventurous routes!
Over the course of the two days, we will work on navigating routes both up to and on the rocks, go over proper equipment selection and movement skills. All of these will give you the tools and confidence you need to take on more exciting scrambles than was previously possible.
Depending on the group, we may also go over simple rope techniques and try out a few harder scrambles.
Based around lovely Langdale, one of the most scenic spots in all of the Lake District, we will be sure to try out several scrambles each day. Most of these will be grade one, but we may go all the way up to grade three, depending on how everyone progresses.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for an informative, sometimes challenging, but always fun 2-day introductory scrambling course in the stunning beauty of England’s Lake District!
If you like the look of this trip then I think you will also enjoy my private 1-day guided rock climbing trip, also in the Lake District!

Mountain Guide
Since discovering rock climbing and hill walking with the Scouts I have never been far away from the mountains. I have been lucky enough to turn what began as a year out into a full time career.
I have worked my way through the mountaineering qualifications from my Mountain Leader award through SPA, Winter Mountain Leader and MIA to getting my MIC (now Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor)in 2009. As an WMCI holder I am qualified to take you rock, snow or ice climbing anywhere in the UK. The WMCI is the highest UK specific qualification so you could not be in safer hands.
I have gained so much from the outdoor environment, particularly the Lake District. I now enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the hills with others and passing on the knowledge to help them go and explore by themselves. I have been an active member of a Mountain Rescue Team (first Keswick and now Duddon and Furness) since 2005 and I once appeared in Coronation Street.
