Description

The Alps and its amazing ice falls are the perfect place for the practice and enjoyment of ice climbing.

I am happy to offer you multiple ice climbing weekly options in the Alps so you can choose the best itinerary for your level and skills.

Ice climbing has been practiced in the Alps for over half a century. In the last 15 years it has evolved quickly thanks to the improvements of techniques and training methods. But mainly, ice climbing has achieved a breakthrough in its equipment and technical material. That is why today we find very light piolet and crampons, with surprising facilities if we compare them with 20 years ago.

I have no doubt that the Alps offers us an infinite variety of ice climbing itineraries for all levels and lengths. In addition, all the frozen walls of the Alps provide comfortable and safe paths.

Ice conditions in the Alps are usually perfect during all the winter long, provided temperatures help and remain below 0°. From December to March is the best time to “puncture” on ice.

Now, let me share with you the different ice climbing spots where we can go together:

  • Alpe D,huez

  • Ceillac

  • Freissinieres

  • Fournel

  • Chamonix

All of them involves an intermediate technical level, so anyone with a minimum of experience can join me. I can lead groups of no more than 4 participants and all the tours will take us 6 days.

So, contact me if you need help to decide which is the most suitable itinerary for you. I will provide you with all the information and we can discuss and plan the trip together.
