Description

The Lofoten archipelago in Norway is an ice climbers’ dream. Here you will find some of the world’s longest routes: frozen waterfalls are everywhere!

The mountain guides in my team and I have been guiding and setting up first ascents here for many years. Nobody can introduce you to the wonders of ice climbing in Lofoten like we can.

Some of this trip’s highlights:
– Comfortable accommodation – huts or hotels the entire time.
– Low client to guide ratio with UIAGM certified guides.
Aesthetic ice routes in one of the world’s greatest ice climbing venues.
Norwegian culture and excellent seafood.

All of my Norway ice climbing programs are arranged on a custom basis and run on a private basis. I will consult you on the suitable itinerary for your skill level and desired climbing objectives.

The dark winter days north of the Polar Circle allow for climbing all winter but this area is best in late February – March, when the light comes back and gives us long enough days to climb these routes without having to use a headlamp.

My private Ice Guiding season books early. Please contact me as soon as possible for details and availability. Please note that I only organize private tours. Unfortunately, I can’t deal with clients looking to join groups. Thank you!

Meeting point

We will meet in Lofoten. To get to Lofoten, you can fly into Svolvær with SAS or fly to Evenes with Norwegian or SAS. The cheapest is to fly to Evenes but you'll have to drive for 2.5 hours to get to Lofoten. This is a beautiful drive so if you arrive in the daylight it's a plus.
