How much ice climbing experience do I need?
While prior ice climbing experience is not mandatory, participants with a background in climbing or similar activities may find the transition smoother.
How fit do I need to be for this ice climbing course?
For optimal enjoyment of the ice climbing experience, a moderate level of fitness is recommended. The physical demands of ascending a frozen waterfall are taken into consideration, and a basic level of stamina and agility will contribute to a more fulfilling and enjoyable adventure. Participants should be prepared for a moderate level of physical exertion, ensuring a rewarding experience amidst the icy beauty of the climbing site.
What will we do on the course?
The adventure kicks off with introductions, followed by a short walk to the base of the frozen waterfall (15-30 minutes). A thorough safety briefing ensures preparedness. Then, participants, guided by experts, embark on the exhilarating climb on the frozen cascade, experiencing the thrill of ice climbing in a stunning winter setting.

You'll need both a helmet and mountaineering boots suitable for crampons
Will I be able to rent equipment?

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much.
