Description

The Hyalite canyon in Montana is a fantastic place to learn proper alpine climbing techniques. And after this 4 day course you will be ready to take on incredible peaks in famous ranges from the Andes to the Rockies.

Mountaineering is one of the most thrilling, demanding and rewarding activities a person can experience. However, that rewarding experience comes at the expense of a lot of work, dedication and practice. And on this 4 day course we would like to teach you as much as we can about proper mountaineering.

Because there are 4 days in this course, a lot of material will be covered. And because the course takes place in the Hyalite canyon, you will be able to take what you are taught and practice it right there on the canyon’s walls.

Each day of the course will cover it’s own set of lessons. You will also spend time every day practicing what you have learned the day before. Hence giving us the chance to give you feedback, and you the chance to improve.

One day, we will cover efficient ice climbing techniques, how to strategize for long routes and rappelling options. On another day you will learn about multi-pitch climbing, proper gear selection, rope team travel, and be given an introduction to crevasses. And for the other 2 days, we will cover short roping on 3rd and 4th class terrain, physical training, route finding and much more.

This course will provide you with an abundance of valuable knowledge, practice and experience necessary for safe and successful mountaineering. To participate, all you have to do is send us a request and join us at the Hyalite canyon.
