When it comes to ice climbing, no matter how much experience you have, there is always room to improve. And on this 2 day intermediate to advanced level course, we would like to help you refine the skills you already have, while also helping you develop new ones. And we would like to do that on the ice walls of the breathtaking Hyalite canyon in Montana, USA.
In the beginning of the course, we will conduct a review of the skills you already possess. A few examples include knots, harnesses and belays, ice screw placement, how to properly read ice and more. This is important because it will let us know what skills you are proficient in and what skills need some improvement. After that, we will proceed to instruct you on new techniques. And because this course takes place at the Hyalite canyon, you will have ample opportunity to put what you have learned into practice on the ice.
