Hvadnik is an amazing area in the Slovenian Julian Alps. It is connected to a deep gorge in Gozd Martuljek. At 250 metres high and 500 metres long, this stretch of land is truly remarkable. And on this half day trip, you will get to admire it from a via ferrata.
From the perch and perspective that only a via ferrata can provide, you will be able to gaze at the natural beauty of Hvadnik. From the Hvadnik stream and the peaks of the Martuljek mountain group, to the forest of green that looks stunning in the summer, this place is a feast for the eyes. And seeing it all from a via ferrata makes it even better.
Unlike other via ferrata trips, such as the one in Vevnica, this trip is not too difficult. You do not have to be a mountaineering expert to participate. However, any experience is good experience when it comes to climbing of any sort. But this will be a relatively easy experience. And because it’s only a half day trip, instead of lots of planning and preparing you can think of it more as a fun, brief excursion that you can enjoy if you happen to be in the area.
The natural scenery of Hvadnik, especially in the summer, is serene and stunning. And seeing it from a via ferrata only adds to its beauty. If that sounds like a way you might want to spend half-a-day in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, just send us a request, and let’s go!
