Discover the power of Yin Yoga as we focus on the body’s meridians—channels that circulate energy, or prana, to support physical and emotional balance. Yin Yoga targets connective tissues like fascia, using gentle pressure, gravity, and deep breathing to hydrate and release tension. This practice not only enhances flexibility but also stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to regulate heart rate, digestion, and overall well-being.

Yin Yoga offers gentle poses to hydrate connective tissues, improve energy flow, and restore balance, leaving you grounded and refreshed. The program includes 2 to 5 yoga classes and a massage of your choice: hasta abhyanga, an Ayurvedic massage, or a Tibetan bowl vibration massage.

    Itinerary

    Day 1: Yoga Hike in Ospédale

    Begin at 9 a.m. in Ospédale (with your vehicle, carpooling available). Enjoy a yoga hike featuring breathing exercises by the lake, a walk through pine forests, Bronze Age ruins, and a sun salutation overlooking the reservoir. The hike covers 6 km (+/- 200m, ~4 hours), including a picnic.

    Optional: an evening hike to the Leccia cross (+1.5 hours, +185m). End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Zonza or Bavella, with an optional 60-minute massage.

    Day 2: Bavella’s Geological Wonders

    Start with morning yoga (7–8 a.m.) followed by a hike exploring the geological wonders of Bavella, including the famous Arch of Alta Rocca and optional summits with panoramic views (4–7 hours, +/- 300–700m). Dinner and overnight stay in Bavella with an optional massage.

    Day 3: Exploring Alta Rocca Villages

    Morning yoga (7–8 a.m. or 5:30–7 p.m.), followed by a hike through Alta Rocca villages, heritage sites, and clear basins. Routes vary based on group preference, with options for exploring medieval castle ruins and chestnut tree legends (5 hours, +/- 300–700m). End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in a dormitory, guesthouse, or camping under the stars, with an optional massage.

    Day 4: Granite Formations on the Plateau

    Morning yoga (7–8 a.m. or 5:30–7 p.m.) and a transfer to Bucchinera for a hike across granite formations, sheepfolds, and rock shelters, with a picnic stop. Optional summit hikes are available (5–6 hours, +/- 150–570m). Dinner and overnight stay in a dormitory, guesthouse, or camping, with an optional massage.

    Day 5: Olive Oil Tasting and Sulfur Baths

    Visit the archaeological site of Cuccuruzzu and the medieval site of Capula (3 hours, +/- 200m), followed by a picnic and a visit to Sainte Lucie de Tallano for olive oil tasting and relaxation in Caldane’s sulfur baths. Yoga is practiced onsite, with dinner and overnight stay in Sainte Lucie de Tallano or Domaine des Caldane. For a shorter stay, transfer to the Taravu plateau for a northern exploration (4–6 hours) and end at the Guitera thermal baths.

    Day 6: Coastal Trails of the Corsican Maquis

    Discover the scents and stories of the Corsican maquis with a yoga hike around Campumuru Beach. Explore Genoese towers, local ruins, and coastal trails (3–4 hours, +/- 150m). Return transfer to Propriano, Figari, or Porto Vecchio for a 6-day stay.

    Day 7: Optional Hike to Roccapina’s Rock Sculptures

    Explore Roccapina with a loop hike around the Lion or Elephant Rock and visit Casa di A Roccapina (6 km, +/- 200m). Optionally, extend your adventure with a heritage trail through Monaccia d'Aullènne’s rock shelters.

    Accommodation

    Accommodation will be either a single gîte or guest rooms in a charming Corsican mountain village at an altitude of 800-900 meters, just 45 minutes from the sea, or a selection of 2 to 5 different accommodations along the route.

    Equipment you will need to bring

    To ensure everyone's safety and comfort, having the required equipment is essential. We kindly ask that you come prepared, as participation may not be possible without it. A 20 to 30-liter backpack packed with essentials, including clothing to protect yourself from heat, wind, cold, and rain, as well as a picnic lunch and energy-packed snacks like cereal bars or dried fruit. Your backpack should also contain weather protection such as a rain cover and waterproof jacket and pants (e.g., Gore-Tex), along with a small personal first-aid kit that includes any necessary medications, orthotics, dressings, Compeed, and Elastoplast. Don’t forget tissues, toilet paper, a small plastic bag for waste, a survival blanket, and a headlamp with spare batteries. For hygiene, bring a kit with one or two washable or disposable masks, gloves, soap, hydroalcoholic gel, paper tissues, and plastic bags. Ensure you have two 1-liter water bottles, a reusable plastic box (like Tupperware), a knife, spoon, fork, sunscreen, lip balm, a swimsuit, and a sarong. Additionally, carry your vital card (health insurance card), some cash, or checks. For hiking, it is recommended to have walking poles if needed, high-cut hiking boots if you have weak ankles, and appropriate clothing such as shorts, a T-shirt, sunglasses, a hat, and a buff to protect against the sun or wind.
