Hiking weekend with donkeys in Famenne, Belgium (2 days)

Famenne, in the south of Belgium, is a wonderful destination for a hiking weekend. Get lost in nature and enjoy this excellent break from your routine!

In the region of Famenne, in Wallonia, there are over 40 hiking trails. And in this occasion I propose to cover two of them! We will take a day to explore each one. Join me and my wife Didi for a beautiful weekend to connect with nature.

We will be accompanied with donkeys carrying our belongings throughout the hike. On Saturday night, we can spend the night camping in a beautiful environment, near a river or on a meadow. Alternatively, we can stay in a B&B if you prefer. We will enjoy some great cuisine! Each day at lunchtime we will stop in a beautiful spot for a tasty picnic, including some of the region’s specialties.

Some of my favourite trails include the forests of Marche, Grimbiémont, Waillet and Humain. I know these regions like the back of my hand, and will be happy to tell you all about them as we progress through our route. Be prepared to feast your eyes with the lush forests and beautiful rivers!

Each day hike will be of around 15 kilometers. Please note that there have to be at least 6 people to do this hike.

This is a great program for the whole family! Anyone with a basic fitness level can join.
