Join us as we take you on an exceptional 2-day hiking and sightseeing tour in northern Chile. We’ll visit Lauca National Park and explore the rich biodiversity of the area on this incredible trip.
Beginning from the beautiful village of Arica, we’ll visit the bustling local market and the breathtaking beaches of the city. The tour leads to the famous Caves of Anzota, famous for Chinchorro culture. Next, we’ll head towards Morro of Arica to enjoy panoramic views. Moving further towards the beautiful Azapa Valley, we’ll spot the geoglyphs of Cerro Sombrero and the Geoglyphos de la Tropilla. Our following objective will be the holy mountain of Cerro Sagrado. Las Llosyas, the Archaeological Museum of San Miguel of Azapa and the fort Pukara de Copaquilla, are just a few of the many attractions we’ll be seeing in the region. Then, passing through breathtaking Lluta Valley, we’ll learn about the Poconchile culture. The beautiful Iglesia de San Gerónimo church is on the way. Finally, we’ll head towards Socoroma village to witness its outstanding architecture. By the end of the day, we’ll arrive in Putre.
The next day, we’ll visit the Lauca National Park which is rich in biodiversity and you’ll easily spot parinas, ducks, vicuñas, vizcachas and taguas. Chucuyo and the beautiful lagoon of Cotacotani will also be part of the itinerary. Additionally, we will go to the magical Chungara lake. You’ll be stunned to see the marvelous reflection of the Parinacota volcano on the surface of its crystal clear water. Furthermore, we’ll visit the quaint Parinacota village before our final stop at the thermal springs of Jurasi where we will enjoy a refreshing dip.
This 2-day adventure is a great way to explore the Chilean landscapes and culture. And, you’ll get to sample the traditional food on the way too! Just make sure you are ready for some sturdy trekking and you will be all set.

We will start out from Arica. Then we will move past beautiful Azapa Valley, past the holy mountain of Cerro Sagrado, and head towards Socoroma village to see its unique architecture. Finally, we’ll stop at Putre.
On day 2, we’ll head from Putre towards Lauca National Park. We will explore the rich biodiversity of the national park and head towards the beautiful Lake Chungara to see the reflection of the Parinacota volcanos. Finally, we will head back to Arica.
