Hiking in Provence and Camargue. 7-day trip w/ a UIMLA certified mountain guide

7 Days

Jun - Sep

Description

Stay star-shaped, 7 days with 5,5 walking and sightseeing days. The daily tours start from your accommodation located in Crau.

At the heart of an exceptional cultural heritage, I invite you to discover the Provence environment. Colors, scents, sun, represent all the southern charm whose lands have fascinated so many great men, writers and artists.

Flora, fauna, attractive hilltop villages, culture, light and Mediterranean landscapes will charm you through an unforgettable stay.

Every evening, your host will reward your efforts by offering a clever insight into the remarkable and tasty local cuisine and its rare flavours. Then, quality accommodation will offer a restful welcome.

Here is the program I usually offer, it may of course be adapted according to your desires and the time you have.

Day 1: Welcome on Sunday afternoon at Arles, transfer across a discovery touristic itinerary and getting settled at the accommodation site.

Day 2: from the highest point of the Alpilles (Opies), gaze in all directions and out of sight, the majestic setting of your stay.

Day 3: oaks, pine forests, cedar forests, scrub lands, grasslands apical and cultural heritage, you will enjoy this day in the heart of the Lubéron Regional Park.

Day 4: The road to the Camargue and its rice fields, Camargue horses, flamingos… visit and walk around a bird park, Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, pond Vaccarès… then return through Baux de Provence.

Day 5: the imposing limestone massif of Sainte-Victoire, arid and colorful in the South, wooded in the north, is another wonder site with a view on the marvelous Aixon country.

Day 6: The daily trek will borrow the picturesque Régalon gorges, dug into the south side of the Petit Luberon, one of the most spectacular canyons of the region.

Day 7: dispersion of the group in the morning of Saturday and return to Arles.

If this beautiful Provencal adventure interests you, I invite you to contact me. We’ll have the opportunity to discuss the program and refine it according to your wishes. As always, I will be happy to lead you there and introduce you to the beautiful wonders of this region that I know so well.

Mountain Leader

I am a mountain leader and instructor of Nordic walking in the Hautes-Pyrénées and elsewhere.
To walk, hike, ascend, descend, stroll, wander, discover nature, observe, listen, feel, taste, enjoy, photograph, draw, learn, cultivate knowledge,... Shortly, “living” in the mountain and being inhabited by it, that’s what I want to share with all of you, in a friendly and safe way.
Whether you are with friends, alone or with your family, with a business group, taking recreational, snow or discovery classes… Let me be your guide, in summer and winter, and I’ll offer you the best professional services of a Mountain Leader.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
