Hiking in Bariloche, Day Trips

This program proposes different options for day hikes in Bariloche, Nahuel Huapi National Park and surroundings. There is a variety for you to choose according to your fitness level, but all of them will take you to enjoy beautiful landscapes in a natural environment.

Day hikes options:

TREKKING CERRO LLAO LLAO
Area: Cerro Llao Llao. | Duration: 4 hours. | Difficulty: Low intensity

This is a short and low intensity hike, optimal for those who have little time or for those who have never practiced this activity and want to discover it. Incredible views of Lake Nahuel huapi and mountains.

CERRO BELLA VISTA
Area: Cerro Bella Vista. | Duration: full day. | Difficulty: Medium intensity

One day middle to high intensity trekking. As its name implies from the summit of this hill there are great views of Cerro Catedral´s west face, Nahuel Huapi Lake and the mountains that surround it.

CERRO GOYE
Area: Cerro Goye. | Duration: Full day. | Difficulty: Medium intensity

Next to Cerro Bella Vista and lower than this, this hike goes through native forest and ends at a beautiful summit from where you can watch a big area of Nahuel huapi´s national park.

CERRO CHALLHUACO
Area: Cerro Challhuaco. | Duration: Full day trip. | Difficulty: Low to middle intensity

This Hill is located on the East side of the Nahuel huapi National Park, we´ll walk through native forests that in summer are full of amancays (showy native flowers), we´ll visit Laguna Verde which is protected due to the presence of endemic species “the challhuaco frog”. Then we´ll continue over a rocky Ridge. This Hill allows us to observe the species and geographic diversity that exists in the Park.

FREY RIDGE HIKE
Area: Cerro Catedral. | Duration: Full day. | Difficulty: Medium intensity

One day trek medium intensity. Classical excursion that begins with Catedral´s lifts which leaves us close to the top, we´ll continue walking along the ridge with beautiful views, passing through Toncek Lake and Refugio Frey and returning to the base along the trail. The cost includes mountain guide, lift tickets, lunch, and transfer.

PAMPA LINDA
Area: Pampa linda. | Duration: Full day. | Difficulty: Low / medium intensity.

This is a famous area because it is at the base of the highest mountain of the park called Cerro Tronador, here you can do different short trekking, like Saltillo de las Nalcas or Mirador del valle. It is possible to do more than one hike on a day.
