Scarface Mountain (3054 ft) is one of the Saranac Lakes Wild Forest most beautiful peaks. It’s located between the communities of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, a few minutes south of the Highway 86, in upstate New York.

This program will take you hiking through a trail that starts in a flat terrain, following old roads. The path rapidly becomes full of beautiful coniferous. The we’ll start going up to the top.

The view from the summit overlooks the Oseetah Lake and the Saranac Lake chain. The regular trail is a 6.8 mile round-trip, but if you’re feeling adventurous there is also the possibility of leaving the trail and do some bushwhacking to admire different a different view.
