Description

Located in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Imlil is definitely worth exploring. Join us as we take you to this amazing Berber village on a day hike.

Indeed a spectacular village, Imlil also acts as the starting point for many treks in the region. No wonder it is a popular destination of many explorers.

On the trip, you’ll spend an enriching day exploring the Moroccan countryside and also get a chance to enjoy local Berber cuisine.

We’ll begin by picking you up from Marrakech early morning and drive towards Imlil. Showing you the beautiful Berber villages, we’ll halt for some traditional mint tea or delicious Berber bread and soup on the way. You can also take some amazing photographs here.

Passing via Tahnaout and Moulay, we’ll reach Imlil and you’ll be amazed to see the authentic charm of the village. In case you happen to visit on a Tuesday or a Saturday, you can also stop by at the local markets of Tahnaout or Asni before reaching Imlil.

The route offers enchanting views of the Atlas Mountains and the beautiful countryside of Morroco. Once in Imlil, you can either opt for a half-day trek or a full-day tour.

A half-day trek offers a walk or a mule ride for about an hour or two around the amazing village and afterward, you’ll enjoy a traditional Berber lunch in a Berber house – or maybe relish it under a walnut tree.

In case you book a full day trek, we’ll start from Imlil and head towards the beautiful Imnan valley. You’ll wind around the circular valley and can enjoy your lunch on the banks of the river before heading back to Imlil. We’ll then take you back to Marrakech, ending this incredible trip.

The total duration of the walk will not be more than 6-7 hours.

You’ll have an exceptional experience in this wonderful village and wouldn’t want to miss it. So, send us a message now to reserve your seat. Also, check out our page for some more adventures in Morocco.

Alexander

We had an amazing trek to Toubkal with Sabir and Hammid. Sabir was a great guide and also very good at telling us about local culture. Hammid was a great chef, the food was always delicious and there was always enough for us 3 big hungry guys. We can definitely recommend doing this beautiful trek with Sabir and Hammid.

Our trip to the Atlas Mountains & summit of Toubkal was one of the best experiences of my partner and I’s lives. Mohammad the organiser was friendly, helpful and made us feel safe and at home. Jamal our guide was amazing. He ensured we made it to the top of the mountain whilst explaining local culture and history. We formed a strong bond and I was very sad to be leaving. As the weather was good and we made the summit and back in 2 days we had time to mountain bike through the valley for the third day, again with Jamal showing us the ropes and treating us to fresh mint tea. A truly unforgettable trip and we will certainly be back when we can. Thank you Mohammad, Jamal and the beautiful village of Imlil and it’s surroundings.

Chloe

We had a fantastic three days organised meticulously by Mohamed and led by Hasan. Hiking up Toubkal was beautiful, and Hasan even took us up another peak too. The food and accomodation were exceptional and everyone was so friendly. I wouldn't hesitate t recommend and will definitely return!

Sebastian

Abdul was a fantastic guide and made the journey very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure to keep a pace which was challenging but doable for all participants. Mohamed was an excellent cook as well and I always looked forward to his meals. The area was beautiful and the climb to Mt. Toubkal is certainly unforgettable. I'm very glad I choose this tour, especially at this price.
