A very easy hike, it will take participants from 1 to 4 hours to complete, depending on the pace you wish to maintain. The distance of the trek ranges from 0.4 to 3 miles and is open all year round.
Throughout the hike you will get to admire plenty of beautiful Colorado scenery, including, of course, the waterfalls themselves. During this trip, you will get to trek through the South Cheyenne Canyon before continuing on under the shadows cast down by the Pillars of Hercules, which are a pair of rock towers that rise up over 1,000 feet from the canyon floor. From there, you will continue on to the base of the waterfall. At the base, you can take a staircase consisting of 224 steps that will take you up to a great viewpoint of the Seven Falls. There is also an elevator that will take you up to an observation point at the falls as well.
Since the hike is easy, no prior experience is necessary. However, you should be in good physical condition.
Trekking to and admiring a gorgeous waterfall is a great way to spend an afternoon. So, if you would like to join us on this half-day hike to the Seven Falls in Colorado Springs, please send a request.
