Nestled among the fjords of southern Norway, Preikestolen cliff is home to one of the most popular hiking routes in the entire country! Also known as Pulpit Rock, the hike is also one of the most scenic in Norway and offers spectacular views over the rolling hills and fantastic fjords. On this 1-day privately guided tour, you will enjoy the full attention of your guide as you discover this amazing location.
To begin the tour, you will be picked up by the guide at the meeting point you agree on in Stavanger. From there, you will drive around 2 hours to the trailhead, where your guide will give you a short trip briefing, and some guiding tips. The way up will take around 2.5 hours, and during this time, you might also have the chance for some small detours to some lovely secret spots. Additionally, you will have time to rest, take pictures, and enjoy some snacks on the way. Once at the top of the gorgeous Preikestolen, you will be rewarded by awe-inspiring views of the fjords below. Then, once you have caught your breath, it will be a 2-hour hike back down to the parking lot before driving back to Stavanger.
The best time for this trek is in the late spring and early autumn, as the trail is usually quite full in the summer. But regardless of when you come, it’s sure to be an excellent trip! You will need to be physically fit and have some prior hiking experience to join.
