Would you like to visit one of the last remaining areas of virgin and wild terrain in the planet?
I am always trying to discover new destinations. At this time, I offer you to travel around Greenland's East Coast aboard Arktika, a 25-meter sailboat. It will be an unforgettable 7-day sailing and hiking tour.
Greenland is full of mountains, fjords and icebergs. An ice sheet covers more than 80% of its territory. We will visit Ammasalik Island, with an area of 772 km2, and whose highest point is a glaciated peak of 1,352 meters.
There are many things to do here: strolling around the fjords, watching whales and seals, and hiking on the mountains and glaciers. We will stop at a different spot every day and at night, we can enjoy the beautiful aurora borealis before falling asleep on the Arktika. It is the perfect travel program for photographers and families!
But apart from the adventure, I'm sure you'll enjoy the cultural aspects of this trip as well! The east coast of Greenland is populated by last direct descendants of the Arctic cultures of Dorset and Thule. They still practice of their surviving traditions. You'll probably be surprised at how warm people are in spite of the weather conditions!
On the first day we will meet in Kulusuk, a village with no more than 500 inhabitants, and spend the night on the Arktika. Then the adventure begins: 6 days of navigation between icebergs and hiking through incredible mountains and glaciers. We will visit, among other places, the fjords Sermilik and Johan Petersen, and the towns of Tiniteqilaaq and Kummiut.
So, what are you waiting for? Join me on this trip and get the chance to explore Greenland’s east coast. I will be happy to guide you through this amazing and unexplored land!
We can also board the Arktika to combine skiing and sailing around Iceland. If you are interested, check out my Ski & sail 7-day tour in Iceland.
We will meet in Kulusuk and spend the night on the sailship.
We will sail from the Sermilik fjord to the Johan Petersen fjord, where we will anchor.
On day 3 we will walk through Johan Petersen fjord and visit the glacier.
In this amazing fjord we weil anchor in the middle of the ice.
On day 5 we will sail towards Tiniteqilaaq, a small town of 120 inhabitants with a spectacular view of the Sermilik fjord. Our expedition will continue to the village of Kummiut, where we will make a pleasant afternoon walk.
On sixth day we will continue exploring the fjords. It is possible to visit a former World War II military base.
We will return to the Ammassalik fjord to finish our tour in Kulusuk.

Mountain Leader
UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide since 2003
The mountain brought us together in the 90's and currently it also brings us together with my guide friends: Stéphane, Christian and Jean Luc, who is mountain leader.
Our passion has allowed us to do a great job: being mountain guides.
After having guided for over 10 years in Verbier, we decided to establish a guide's office that allows us to sell trips, ski touring days, heliskiing here and elsewhere, mountaineering, and all those things that are possible to do with a mountain guide.
We are also colleagues in the specialized team of rescuers "Maison FXB Rescue" and it is with pleasure that we offer advanced training courses, avalanche courses, crevasse rescue, the management of injured people…
From all this, the main objective is to enjoy as much time as we can in the mountain with you in the most beautiful places in the world with a single slogan: “Safety!”
It will be a pleasure to share a moment with you!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
