Description

Situated just two hours south of the cosmopolitan city of London, Harrison’s Rock is an exemplary location for an intermediate rock climbing course!

The fun begins after you meet with the guide in the car park and head to the rock. Boasting numerous routes on and around it, Harrison’s Rock is a great spot for a range of abilities and your guide will be able to find the perfect route just for you.

The main focus of the course will be to improve your rock climbing knowledge and techniques. Previous outdoor rock climbing experience is required for this trip.

Regardless of which route we take, once we’ve arrived at the top of the rock, we’ll be greeted with fantastic views of the surrounding woods. There are few more tranquil places to climb!

Among the practices and skills we will go over during the course are:

  • Warm ups, stretching and cool downs

  • Equipment selection

  • Tying into the harness

  • Improved belaying techniques

Hatt Adventures was created in 2005 by Tom Hatt, an experienced and highly certified instructor who loves lots of different types of sports. We started as a small team and, over the years, became one of the main outdoor adventure providers for England and Scotland.

Every member of our team is highly qualified and our courses and experiences have gained an excellent reputation. We are passionate about what we do and love teaching and helping people try new sports and activities while having fun.

In 2007, we began providing television and film safety cover under ‘Hatt Safety’. As part of this project, we worked with several high profile customers and artists. In 2015, Tom became a member of the British Stunt Register and started working on TV and Films as a stuntman.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
