While many people known Las Vegas and Nevada for other reasons, this southwestern gem of the United States boasts one of the most magnificent rock formations known to adventurers: Red Rock Canyon. This National Conservation Area sprawls over the region, covering nearly 200,000 acres of public land. Thrust faults and evolving geology have given way to the red-colored sandstone that layers the Mojave Desert, making this a rare natural beauty and iconic climbing destination.
Climbers from far and wide travel to Red Rock for the many lines and routes of varying length and degree. It is a haven for novice climbers because of its long and easy climbs that require few technical obstacles. The sheer size and volume also make it a veritable obstacle for experienced climbers; trad and sport climbers follow the network of cracks and routes to fine-tune their skills and test their mettle.
Your program seamlessly blends the aesthetic beauty and technical thrills of Red Rock over the course of an afternoon. Within a half-day of climbing, you can exercise your climbing talents on admirable rock formations under the instruction of certified guides who are also local experts.
Beginners will focus on the basics like terminology, equipment use, and movement techniques. The course will include fundamental information that will help your passion for climbing grow and set you up for success on future climbs. Rock climbers with experience can find intermediate and advanced routes of every shape and size. These programs will focus on developing multi-pitch and lead climbing skills for use in more ambitious climbs. You will learn how to work more difficult routes throughout the vast area of Red Rock and hone movement techniques to round out your rock climbing ability.
All of the programs take place in the stunning scenery of Red Rock Canyon, one of the top places to take your rock climbing proficiency to the next level. This place is special to us, and our goal is always to instill this excitement and appreciation for the region in our participants. You will have fun in a safe and controlled environment while appreciating Red Rock’s climbing culture.
Everyone is invited to join one of our programs. Participants should have a general understanding of the physical requirements of rock climbing – having a moderate fitness level will help you enjoy the program. We will design a program around your needs and abilities, so let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to help you achieve your climbing goals.

How much rock climbing experience do I need?

We will tailor the program to your individual needs and abilities, so please let us know what you are looking for, and we will do our best to help you achieve your climbing goals.

How can I physically prepare for this rock climbing trip?
Rock climbing requires a lot of upper body strength, so it is important to focus on exercises that work your arms, shoulders, and back. Some good exercises include pull-ups, push-ups, and rows. Rock climbing is also a cardiovascular activity, so it is important to do some cardio exercises to improve your endurance. Grip strength is essentia as well, so it is important to do exercises that work your grip such as hangboarding and dead hangs..

There's 1 guide for every 3 participants.
What's included in the price?
The price covers the guiding fee, permits and park fees, as well as group rock climbing equipment such as harnesses, helmets, belay devices, and carabiners.
What is NOT included in the price?
The price does not include transportation, climbing shoes, or personal gear. Please contact me for more information about equipment rentals or to inquire about other costs that may be incurred.
What is the length of this program?
This is a half-day trip, but we can also guide you on a full-day climbing experience in Red Rock Canyon.
