People have been rock climbing at Foster Falls since the mid 1980s. And after arriving and seeing the wonderful selection of climbing spots, it’s not difficult to see why its popularity has not waned.

Located near the city of Chattanooga, in the state of Tennessee, Foster Falls is a wonderful place for fans of sport climbing. Furthermore, on the crag of Foster Falls, there are 179 different routes you can choose from. The routes vary in both height and difficulty, with grades ranging from 5.8 to 5.13. Thus providing visitors with a climbing experience that is as diverse as it is exciting. The variety also ensures that climbers of every skill level can enjoy the rock climbing possibilities, including beginners. Finally, the view you will get of the approximately 80 foot high waterfall is stunning, regardless of the position you get to admire it.

Another great advantage of climbing in Foster Falls is that you can climb all year round. There is plenty of shade provided by the dense forest on the cliff line. Thus making even the hottest of summer days relatively cool for thrill seeking climbers.

While this trip is open to climbers of every level, even beginners, participants should still be in good physical condition.
