In the heart of the Japan Alps, in the Nagano Prefecture, lies a majestic valley perfect for a snowboarding trip: Hakuba. Join me on this half-day adventure to explore some of its best slopes.
Hakuba is a gorgeous place very close to the Nagano City. Also, it is very easy to access, as it is only 270 kilometers from Tokyo. And there are many options for transportation, you can get here from the Narita Airport, by a local train, the bullet train or a bus.
Also, Hakuba hosts some of Japan’s top ski resorts. There are 11 amazing resorts here, that include: Happo-One, Cortina, Norikura, Goryu, Hakuba 47, Tsugaike KogenIwatake, Jigatake, Kashimayari and Minekata. And, I will make sure we choose the best one, so you can make the most of our trip.
What’s more, this place offers incomparable views, since it is surrounded by rugged peaks that rise above the 3,000 meters. Furthermore, it receives plenty of snow ever winter, with amounts going from 11 to 13 meters. So it covers this valleys with pristine and fresh powder snow. Here, you’ll experience thrilling descents and the famous Japow!
I am not a ski instructor or mountain guide, I am a Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) athlete, ranked 47th in the world and 4th in Japan. So, although we will remain within the ski resort all the time for safety reasons, I will make sure we truly enjoy our time together. Hence, instead of teaching you how to snowboard, we will focus on having fun and enjoying Hakuba’s top slopes.
If you want to join this marvellous trip, just request to book this trip. I promise it will be a unforgettable experience snowboarding together in Japan.
Do you want to explore another part of this wonderful country? You can also check this half-day Riding in Niseko.
