If you are looking to get into the world of via ferrata, then this is the trip for you! With beautiful views and easy routes, Col du Chat, France is the perfect setting for via ferrata beginners. Join me for a wonderful morning or afternoon.
Col du Chat is located near Chamonix, the mecca for outdoor activities in the French Alps. One of the perks of this spot is that the Mediterranean vegetation provides a comfortable microclimate year-round, perfect for outdoor activities.
On this occasion, we’ll use the Primrose Bear Ear Track, which is located on Roc du Cornillon. The route takes 3 hours to complete and is 250 meters long. The starting point has an 820-meter altitude. The first part offers a breathtaking view of France’s most beautiful lake: Lake Bourget. Then, we’ll descend through an inverted ladder and a tunnel to reach the other side of the mountain, which will take us to a monkey bridge.
Excited? Book your trip now and get ready for an unforgettable half day in the beautiful French heights.
I also offer a mountaineering day-trip in Aiguilles Marbrées. Be sure to check it out if you are looking for more options in the area.

Antonin was a great guide who packed in so much in one day for us. There was no fuss with the arrangements and getting started. He gave us some great tips too which massively improved our skiing. Weather conditions weren’t great but he made it work well for us with his timings and locations.

We went for a 1-day backcountry tour with Antonin in Les Arcs. The snow conditions were very difficult - only two big snowfalls were in the area during the winter and the previous snowfall was 2 weeks before, so all routes in the resort area were very tracked. But Antonin did his best to find good snow for us, adopted the routes to our group skiing level and was not hurrying us at all. As a result we had a great adventure with a couple of long pleasant rides!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
