Description

Many consider canyoning a relaxing activity. However, it can be as wild as any extreme sport you can imagine. And particularly the area around the Frauenbach river in Austria, offers some of the most thrilling spots to practice canyoning.

One could actually say that the whole Frauenbach area is reserved only for experts in canyoning. Many of the paths here will prove to be as challenging as fun. We’ll enjoy the most stunning sceneries through our hikes. Also, we’ll get to swim in pristine natural pools. And the cliff-jumping we will get to experience, will simply take your breath away!

Moreover the Frauenbach river has very unique formations. Thus, one of the things we’ll enjoy during or adventure will be climbing up an actual waterfall. The adrenaline we’ll experience, and the views we will enjoy, will definitely make it completely worth it once we reach the top!

This place has it all! We’ll encounter magnificent rock formations, crystal clear water, thrilling jumps and slides, and hypnotizing sceneries! The place is undoubtedly a must stop for anyone that loves canyoning.

Due to the advanced nature of this trip, we will make sure you not only have a wonderful experience, but a safe one. Thus, we will follow all the safety rules needed to make sure you are safe the whole time. Moreover, I absolutely adore this place and I will be able to show you some of my favorite spots, and some others that are not as known, or more difficult to reach.

So if you want to join me on this canyoning adventure, please send me a request. I promise it will be a trip you won’t be able to forget.

But, if what you are looking for is a winter adventure, I guide this Lesachtal guided snowshoeing week, Austria as well.

Mountain Guide

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.

I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”

I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.

For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Tobias, from the training day to summiting the Matterhorn. Couldn’t ask for a better guide 10/10

Tobias knows the Matterhorn and the surrounding area extremely well. He will go at a level that is comfortable for you and help you reach whatever mountaineering goal you have. Another reviewer said Tobias knows every step on the Matterhorn - and this is absolutely true. He's one of the BEST around.

Roberto

i guess it was a little our fault for not investigating the fact that due to weather its not always possible to climb the matterhorn, but we where notice 1 week before that the weather was not good, so it was very complicated to organize something interesting as second option.
