Description

Join me for this fun and exciting mixed climbing and ice climbing experience for beginners in the sublime beauty of Kootenay National Park!

We will be climbing in Haffner Creek, which is an excellent place for novice ice and rock climbers to hone their skills as well as pick up news ones.

Located in a deep canyon, 40 minutes southwest of Canmore, the national park offers numerous different ice falls and rock cliffs that we will have the option of climbing.

After arriving at the parking lot, we will hike for 20 minutes to our climbing location and gear up. Throughout the course of the day, we will use a mix of rock and ice climbing gear as we go from icefall to rock wall in the same climb.

We will spend the rest of the day climbing, advancing to more difficult levels depending on your skill level. There are ice and rock surfaces of varying difficulty and steepness, which makes this a great spot for climbers of every level.

So what are you waiting for? Join me for this fun and informative day of ice climbing and mixed climbing in beautiful Kootenay National Park!
