Would you like to discover the stunning Triglav National Park in Slovenia? Then come with me on this exciting 2-day guided snowshoeing adventure with overnight at one of the cozy mountain huts.
Snowshoeing is a great way to explore winter landscapes. It is easy on the joints and an exciting activity for all. On this 2-day adventure, we will have the chance to visit the beautiful snow-covered meadows, valleys, and forests of the Julian Alps. Some of the highlights of our trip will include stopping at the famous Bohinj lake, touring the Mt. Krn trails and more. You can find a tentative itinerary below, although we can adapt and tailor it to suit your level.
Keep in mind that we will spend approximately 4-5 hours snowshoeing each day. There will also be altitude gains of around 700m, and descents of around 1400m. Therefore, although technical experience is not required, a good fitness level is. In the evenings, we will stay at one of the lovely Slovenian mountain huts which will give us the chance to enjoy a full Julian Alps winter experience.

We will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Lepena Valley (700 m), where we will set off for Krn Lakes (1391 m). Walking for 4 – 5 hours. Altitude differences for around 690 m.
After breakfast at the mountain hut, we will still walk the trails around Mt. Krn. At the end of the tour, we will descend to the Planina Kuhinja. Overnight on Planina Kuhinja in a beautiful mountain farmhouse
The walk is 4 – 5 hours. We will do almost 1400m of descent.
Ski equipment
Participants must bring appropriate hiking clothing and all other mandatory ski touring equipment (touring skis, poles, etc.) with them on this trip.
