Description
Join me for a one or several days of hiking in the heart of the beautiful National Park of Mercantour, around Lac Nègre and Lac Graveirette, in Haute Tinée, close to the border with Italy.
It’s a very varied hike partially far from the beaten tracks. It is accessible for every person who practices regularly a physical activity.
The walking time is of 5 hours on average (per day), with 400 meters of positive height.
I can adapt the itinerary based on the level of the group and the wishes. We can for example organise a tour where we see more lakes.
Lac Nègre is one of the largest lakes of the Mercantour Park, in a glacier and granite environment.
Lac Graveirette provides a very Canadian atmosphere at the border with a forest.
We should see many animals, mainly marmots and chamois.
The National Park of Mercantour contains large and wild forests into which the wolfs have returned after many years.

I booked a tour with Fabrice on late May, definitely the highlight of my holiday, we went on a hike around Casterino It was a relaxed hike with great sights of mountain forests and lakes, I got to see some of the local fauna and flora of the park, ibex, marmots, chamois, although not as much as they would be in the area, possibly because of the wolfs (we saw some footprints). Overall it is a great way to see the surroundings. I would definitely recommend Fabrice as a guide for your next hike!
