The Grossvenediger (3674 m) is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Austrian Alps. And this 2-day ski touring program is one of the absolute classics in the Hohe Tauern range. I invite you to join me and discover this amazing mountain!
Also, the Grossvenediger is the most important peak of the Venediger Mountain Group. It lies inside the Hohe Tauern National Park, just in the middle between East Tyrol and Salzburg. Most important, we will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Please note that you need to have previous ski touring and crampons use experience. Besides, good tolerance to heights!
On the first day, we will meet at Hopffeldboden Parking, in the Obersulzbachtal. Then, a shuttle will transfer us to the cable car towards the Kürsinger Hut. We will ascend over the Keesboden, the summer hiking trail and past the former Turkish tent. We will then continue along the winter path to Kürsinger Hütte. Our walking time depends on the conditions. It will be about 2 to 3 hours.
On the second day, we will ascend to the summit of the Grossvenediger! We will go first towards Obersulzbachkees and then further into the Venediger Scharte. Then we will find flat terrain to the top. It will take us from 4 to 6 hours. After enjoying a spectacular view from the summit, we will descend along the ascent route.
So contact me if you want to join me in this amazing 2-day ski touring experience! I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the program. We will spend a fantastic time out in the Grossvenediger!
You can also check my Grossglockner 2-day ski touring ascent! It's also an amazing tour!

Mountain Guide
The mountains have always been a great part of my life. I was a youth leader of the Alpine Association of Zell am See, Bergrettungsmann, and completed the training as a ski and snowboard instructor. I studied meteorology because it can be very useful in mountaineering. My first trips took me to the Eastern Alps, around Piz Bernina and Biancogray. I also had the chance many times the amazing Mont Blanc range and the peaks around Chamonix. Finally, I got to practice in the high mountains of Bolivia and Chile.
I have really found my calling as a mountain guide. I am right where I always wanted to be. The smile on my clients' faces at the summit or after an intense ski day is so rewarding!
I am part of a team of local guides (Bergführer Zell am See Kaprun), all friends of mine, guys with whom I share the passion for the mountains. They are Markus B, Markus H and Gerald, all IFMGA certified guides. Our philosophy is "to know how to do something well is to enjoy it". Therefore, we always keep learning to give you the best experience.

Andreas is a big professional - has found best snow conditions and created a big adventure despite not much fresh snow and overall situation with warm weather. 5 stars!
Daniel
Great guiding experience. We had a couple of touring newbies, and Andreas was very patient. Would book again.
Christoph
The guide was super friendly and knows the mountain inside out. He made me feel secure at the sections that were a bit more exposed. I also appreciated that he took a couple of pictures of me as I was travelling on my own.
