Description

The region of Jura, in the East of France, has some of the most beautiful canyons. In this occasion I invite you to a half-day canyoning trip at the Gorges de Malvaux.

We will be at Foncine-le-Bas. This canyoning descent is very aquatic. It is one of the most playful descents in the Jura, with jumps coming one right after the other. Besides the many jumps, there will be toboggans and beautiful aquatic passages.

The option of Gorges de Malvaux is ideal for an initiation in canyoning. Indeed, the terrain characteristics offer a great choice for a first experience in this activity. We will get the chance to go up the jumps, gaining confidence throughout the journey. Finally, we will save the best jump for the end, when you will be completely into the atmosphere. No jump is obligatory here, you can also decide to walk it.

But don’t think this itinerary is exclusive for beginners! You will also have a great time if you are more experienced in the practice.

To participate in this activity, you need to be in good physical shape and know how to swim. Children from 12 years old are welcome.

Come discover the results of thousands of years of water flowing by these limestone walls in the Jura! Please send me a request to book this trip. I will be waiting for your message! Another great 1/2 day canyoning option in the area is La Langouette, check it out.

Mountain Guide

The Jura massif is an ideal place to learn and grow your experience in alpine techniques. I practice mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing in the winter. I am also located very close to the Swiss and French alpine massifs.

First, I started as a ski rescuer. My passion for skiing and climbing helped me discover the classic routes in the mythical summits of the Alps. The first mountain courses I went on with friends as a guide - which I did with a lot of effort, doubts and perseverance - were much needed to build my experience. Still, they also gave me a lot of joy, and I was able to pursue them while laughing and creating beautiful moments shared.

My experience and terrain knowledge will allow you to move safely and enjoy your time, without a promise of the summit but of sharing a privileged and unique moment in the mountains.

Finally, I'm a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide.

Thanks to the site, we had a rapid proposal for a guide, who quickly tool contact with us. He chose a trip adapted to the competences of the family and remained very diligent during the full trip. Great experience !

An excellent guide, who planned an amazing route and combined technical instruction with local knowledge to provide a very enjoyable day of skiing that improved my off-piste skills and gave me confidence to try lines that I would never consider alone.

I am really, really happy with both Explore-share.com’s service and their recommendation of guide Benjamin Souflot. Benjamin was extremely personable, and more importantly knowledgeable. Benjamin recommended where to rent ski gear and the proper gear for the day. He had crampons for my boots, ropes and other safety gear needed. I showed up at the meeting spot early, and Benjamin was already there waiting. On the gondola ride up to Aiguille du Midi, he talked safety and what to expect. When we got up to the top, it was very windy and intimidating. As Benjamin prepared the gear for our descent, he talked safety, strategy and was reassuring that it would be a fun, safe adventure. As I look down the face of the Ridgeline, I became nervous and anxious. Benjamin was very reassuring that it was going to be OK, that I was safe with him and we would make it down. Sure enough, Benjamin literally “talked me off the ledge” and we proceeded down. Benjamin was focused & guided me the entire time. Once we started skiing, Benjamin gave great instructions as to where to ski, what to expect ahead, etc. He was very knowledgeable about the mountain. When we took breaks, Benjamin shared with me interesting facts about where we were, in the mountains France, Italy, Mount Blanc, the crevasses, various peaks, history of the glacier, etc. I had a great experience! I would definitely do this trip again with Benjamin. I would also recommend this trip to anyone else with Benjamin and your company, Explore-share.com. Thank you again! -John

Superbes moments passés ensemble dans les portes du Soleil, très sympa et très pro. Nous nous réjouissons de réitérer l’expérience du côté de Chamonix en ta compagnie.
