Description
If you are a hiking lover or a mountaineering beginner, this glacier trekking in the Alps is a fantastic opportunity for you! We will discover the glaciers near Chamonix-Mont Blanc and travel through unique landscapes.
Whether you want to gain experience in mountaineering or just enjoy a magical environment of ice and snow in the middle of the mountains, you will find a place on this trip.
We will start our program at the Montenvers Train Station in Chamonix. After a short train ride, we will take the gondola to reach Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), a dry glacier situated in the northern side of the Mont Blanc Massif.
Regarding difficulty, this tour around Chamonix is suitable for all ages and levels. We will be equipped with a harness, crampons, and an ice-ax and, if you wish can also try ice climbing.

Price details
- Safety equipment and rope included. Children must be above 8 years old to participate.
- Train and gondola fee are not included (around 33€ per person). Can be purchased at the meeting point.
- Technical equipment (crampons, Ice axe and harness) can be rented in Chamonix. We recommend to go to Snell Sports in the center, price for the 3 should cost around 25€ per person. For the crampons, please make sure they fit your mountaineering boots.
- Max. 6 people per tour.

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA mountain guide living in Cyprus. I have a passion for exploring the mountains since I was child. Kyperounda, the town where I was born and raised, was my first playground, the place where I started practising different outdoor activities.
First I learnt skiing. Then, I started training and taking part in races and competitions, traveling extensively in Europe. As I am very curious, I kept trying all kinds of sports until I discovered climbing and all its exciting possibilities.
I also developed both my academic and my practical skills in the university, where I studied Outdoor Studies and Sport Science. During that time, I obtained qualifications as a Mountain Leader and a Climber.
Teaching other people is one of the things I like the most. I find a deep joy in helping others to enjoy the mountains as much as I do.
The experience of all these years as well as my technical skills, have taken me closer to my goal: becoming an IFMGA mountain guide.
