1-day Freissinières Via Ferrata program

This 1-day Freissinières Via Ferrata program will take you up to the top of an amazing valley in the heart of the Ecrins massif!

The Freissinières Via Ferrata is the first one of its kind in France. It was created in 1988 by Lionel Condemine, a local guide who wanted to emulate the Dolomites itineraries. From then on it has been delighting thousands of tourists who want to have an adventure while visiting these amazing french mountain towns and valleys.

It is a fairly easy 1km route, with an altitude gain of 200 meters. It starts at 1400 meters and it takes 4 to 6 hours to complete the path. Due to its south orientation, the path has direct sunlight during most of the day, which makes it very comfortable.

My plan is to guide you through the complete route. So you'll get to appreciate the beautiful views from the summit.
