We'll equip you with all the essential tools and knowledge, but you’ll be the one calling the shots! Gain the confidence to plan the direction of the tour, with ongoing feedback from a certified UIAGM guide.

Each participant gets the opportunity to lead the group, making key decisions along the way. With a UIAGM guide right behind you, offering feedback and challenging your choices, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned directly on the mountain.

This hands-on experience helps you learn far more than just listening. Evenings will be filled with engaging presentations and group discussions. And don’t worry—there will be just as much skiing as in our regular camps!.

We let the snow guide us! Based on the best conditions, we’ll chase the powder to incredible destinations like Livigno or Santa Catarina in Italy, Graubünden in Switzerland, or Montafon in Austria. Every stop is flexible to ensure you experience the best of the backcountry.

This adventure is perfect for those with prior experience in freeriding (off-piste skiing) and ski touring (or splitboarding), and who are eager to elevate their backcountry and avalanche skills to the next level.

Whether you’re a skier or snowboarder, traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group, this trip is for you. If you're coming alone, no need to worry—you’ll quickly bond with fellow riders and share an unforgettable experience!

Itinerary

Day 1: First day meeting

Arrival at our location—we can help you with ride-sharing arrangements.

Day 2 to 5: Riding in the Alps

After the evening presentation, you will have to plan the tour and apply new skills in the off-piste the next day. We will ski or snowboard the whole day using lifts during good freeriding days and go for a ski tour when the powder is harder to reach.

Day 6: Return trip

Departure for home. You have the option to extend your stay before or after the main trip upon prior arrangement.

Day 7: Extra days

Extended trips are available at a rate of 110 EUR per day

Mountain Guide

Hi, I’m Vojta, welcome to our profile! We are a small and specialized guiding company based out of the Czech Republic, dedicated to offering freeriding and ski-touring trips mainly to Japan and Norway. We run powder camps and tours across the islands of Hokkaido and Honshu in Japan. In March every year, we move to arctic Norway and run Ski and Sail expeditions around Lyngen Alps. We started as a group of friends guiding in Japan in 2013 and we still beleive you should feel like you are riding with friends on our trips. The tours are flexible with the single purpose of skiing in the best snow and finding the best lines possible. We have strong area knowledge of the terrain and go the extra mile to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Our trips not only include skiing, but also delicious food and local culture as you improve your skills as a backcountry skier or snowboarder.

On our trips, you will be guided by Czech and Slovak UIAGM Mountain guides & Ski Guides (Robert Vrlák, Peter Koteles, Daniel Menšík, Vojta Lím, or Tomáš Prajzler)

The skiing trip encountered several issues, starting with unmet itinerary promises such as night skiing and the advertised average of 10,000 vertical meters of skiing. Despite a smooth booking process and excellent pre-trip information, the trip's delivery fell short. The guide we had was notably unprofessional, affecting the group's experience negatively due to his behavior and lack of fitness. Also, the inability to choose between advertised group levels and the inclusion of unfit participants further marred the experience. The house we hade provided comfortable accommodations, yet disparities in lodging quality between the groups without price adjustments was not fair. Breakfast was a highlight and the Sherpas staff was really nice. Overall the trip, despite its potential, was ultimately disappointed due to significant shortcomings in execution and leadership.

We had a fantastic ski and sail trip with Sherpas Ride! The views and ski lines were memorable. Vojta kept us safe and smiling the whole trip!

I had a fantastic time on the Sherpas Ride ski and sail trip in Norway. The weather was challenging but Votja figured out how to make the best of it, keeping it fun and safe. The other clients in our group were great people. I would happily adventure with Sherpas Ride again.
