Probably the most famous off-piste area in the Chamonix valley, Vallee Blanche is very highly regarded in the French Alps for its freeriding opportunities.
Its positive reputation began through exploration of its glaciers, where the powder snow slopes seem to have no end.
There is a new Skyway cable car that takes us until 3452m of altitude and from there we will have a real immersion into nature, leaving the well grommed slopes far behind.
Although this area provides for all levels of skiing ability, if you want to have an unrivalled off-piste trip far from the slopes then it’s best you have prevous freeriding experience.
Wedged in between glaciers and the various peaks of the mountain range, we are always in the presence of incredible landscapes and scenery.
I only conduct this trip in small groups so as to allow for the most safe and rewarding excursion. I have many years of experience and know the area intimately so can share the local secrets.
On the day we will meet at around 08:30 and take the cable car together, then we will head to about 3452m and have a coffee.
Our route down will be a freeriding bliss with many amazing photo opportunities. After traversing the most crevassed part of the glacier we will stop and have some lunch in the famous “Sal a manger”.
We will arrive in Chamonix at around 14:30 in time for a refreshing and well deserved beer. Then at about 15:30 we will leave by coach to return to Courmayeur, arriving around 16:30.
If this liberating day of freeride skiing in the Chamonix valley has got you excited then sign up now, I can’t wait to lead you away from the busy pistes into the wild and stunning nature!
Perhaps you have more time on your hands, then join me for this thrilling 3-days of freeriding both in Valle Blanche and Courmayeur. For something different in the area consider this 2-day ascent of Mont Blanc, the Alps’ highest peak, for a truly epic journey!

IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Italy
I like the simple life and I love searching for environments where climbing has a genuine taste.I did various jobs, all interesting but they always lacked something, then a season in Chamonix opened my eyes; I never looked back and I haven’t sat at a desk ever since.
I was born in Parma in 1978, I started climbing at the age of 14; my home is in Verona, but it is much more true to say that I live across the Alps, on the Dolomites for climbing and on Mont Blanc for big climbs and skiing.
I share my time between the Mountain Guide activity and the climbing experiences around the world.
One of the best starting points for each experience is enthusiasm and curiosity that I seek and refine every time I climb a mountain. I love the technical gesture of climbing, the feeling of freedom and the opportunity to travel, learning about different cultures and different ways of thinking.
Ice picks and crampons are my mates up in the mountains. I have a soft spot for the ways that fight tooth and nail, when you leave your watch home because the stars will tell you when it is time to open your sleeping bag and the frost in the morning will tell you when it is time to start moving again.
To me, the snow is like gold, it makes me happy and carefree. For this reason during winter I spend much of my time on skis in pursuit of thrills: speed, fresh snow under your skis and a surfing wave in my mind.
The best part of my job ... definitely helping people to spend their time outdoors with quality and satisfaction.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
