Experience the fresh mountain air of the Austrian Alps when you join me for this 2-day ski touring program in the beautiful region of Tyrol!
The Rosshütte ski area is the largest ski resort in the Seefeld Olympic Region, and is a great resort for beginners and advanced skiers alike. For more experienced skiers, it is also a perfect starting place for ski tours of short to medium length, due to the accessibility of off-piste runs from resort chairlifts.
This 2 day trip will give us an opportunity to explore the area surrounding the Rosshütte resort with options to venture further afield depending on the weather and avalanche conditions, as well as your abilities and interests. Such options include free-riding in Dammkar, or attempting the challenging, steep descents of the Krichlkar. Over the course of the two days, we will have different opportunities for both freeriding and ski touring.
Along the way, I will teach you various deep snow techniques, ascending with skins or a track system, avalanche assessment, and tour planning skills. After this two-day tour, you will come away from this trip a better and more knowledgeable off-piste skier.
We will be based in the resort during this program, at the recommended lodge – Gasthof Ramona. I will meet you the evening before the program, and then we will spend the following two days on the mountain, returning to sleep at the lodge. This program is suitable for good piste skiers, or those with experience downhill skiing in various types of snow conditions, particularly deep snow.
Come venture off-piste with me during this 2-day ski touring program, and I promise we will enjoy the untouched snow and incredible landscape of the mountain together!
And be sure to check out my other winter programs: Dolomites 5 day guided ski tour, Introductory ski tour in Bad Hindelang, 2 days, or Karwendel beginners ice climbing weekend.

Mountain Guide
IFMGA/IVBV Certified mountain, ski and canyoning guide, member of DAV and VDBS mountaineering and sport climbing teaching and training team. I’ve been part of the VDBS team for the formation and training of German mountain guides for 20 years.
I started climbing at the age of 17. Since 1987 I am certified mountain guide and a passion has become a profession. I live in Scharnitz / Tyrol and I am leader of the moutaineering school Alpenwelt Karwendel in Mittenwald.
Ice climbing in norway, skitouring in morocco, rock climbing in cuba or high mountains in the himalaya - I like it to explore new areas around the world. I led a DAV training expedition for talented young mountaineers in the Tian Shan mountain range with climbing Khan Tengri and did several expeditions to the karakorum mountains and the himalayas.
As a full-time mountain guide, I feel at home in the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains as well as in the mountains and climbing areas worldwide. I am happy to accompany you as a guide to your desired goal!

Better than I could ever have expected. Bernd was very skilled guide, able to smoothly adjust to my skill level and the conditions on the go. Very fiendly, easy to communicate with. Made my day extremely enjoyable and memorable.

Bernd was an amazing guide! We had a great time doing a 10 pitch climb on the Alpspitze mountain, and some fun single pitch afterward. As I am a somewhat experienced climber, he was a wonderful guide who gave me the freedom and trust to lead pitches and to belay him. Bernd is an excellent and smart climber who was able to push me to do my best and provide an incredible experience, while being patient while I enjoyed climbing on limestone in the alps for the very first time!

Bernd is a great teacher and guide. My husband and I are so glad that we had him as first timers for ice climbing. Aside from being knowledgeable, he is a very kind, warm and genuine person.
Roni
The guide Bernd was terrific - very knowledgable, experienced and patient with our group of beginners. Even when the weather turned to the worse, he kept finding ways to make it enjoyable, safe and interesting for all of us. We had a great time. Communication with him prior to the trip was also very clear and easy. Highly recommended!
