Val Thorens is an extraordinary area for freeride skiing (off-piste) and Freerando (ski touring near the ski area). Come and discover it on this one or more days adventure!
Our skiing days will start at 9 am. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier, we will choose the best itineraries according to the level of the group.
After a few moments of touring, we will discover a dreamy, quiet, and wild natural area where we will enjoy skiing down through the best quality snow.
Our experiences prioritize your safety and your improvement in the activity, as well as the enjoyment and having a wonderful time in the snow.
Join us on this group program and discover the untouched slopes of Val Thorens! With our knowledge of itineraries and snow, we will guide you across the best off-piste areas. A private session is also possible.
I would like to join a group, do you offer such options?
Yes, we offer both private and group tours. Please specify this to us when sending your request.
How many people do you usually have in your group tours?
We usually have 4 to 6 participants (exceptionally 7).
When does the day starts and ends?
The day starts at 9:00 am and ends around 4:30 pm.
Who will be guiding us?
You’ll be guided by one of the guides from our team. They are all local guides, specialised in backcountry skiing in Les 3 Vallées. They are either IFMGA/UIAGM certified mountain guides or national certified ski instructors. They are all authorised and experts in bringing skiers and snowboarders off piste. We have guides speaking Russian, Portuguese, Italian, German, and French & English of course.
Where is the meeting point?
It depends if you book a group tour or a private guided day. The instructions such as meeting place will be communicated by the guide the day before the tour.
What’s included in the price I’m paying here?
The price you pay here covers the guiding fee and the avalanche equipment (shovel, probe and transceiver). It doesn’t include your ski pass, your ski equipment (don't forget to bring your off-piste skis, minimum waist 90mm) and the food/snacks for the day.
I need to rent ski equipment, where can I go in Val Thorens?
We recommend you to rent your ski equipment at the "Skiset Goitschel Sport 2" located on Place Caron in Val Thorens.

Spot on out of my expectations. Nice and very talented guide. Highly recommended.

We overall really enjoyed this group trip in the backcountry around Val Thorens, however, the guide could've been a bit more responsive to our ability level and communicated better (we mentioned we are mixed abilities and we were snowboarders - him a skier), e.g., due to a mishap with a binding the group got separated as the guide just rode on and hadn't communicated where to go.

Had a phenomenal day with our guide Mathis out in Val Thorens backcountry. It was a good mix of using the lifts to gain altitude, ski down and then skin up. Mathis adjusted the skiing to the groups level, kept a good pace and fun to spend the day with. Would have appreciated earlier communications about when and where to meet and what to bring. Overall, a great day. Definitely worth it!

Great service by explore share. Our guide, Fred, gave us a fantastic day. Totally wild adventure that would be impossible on our own. I’m really impressed. Thank you very much.
