The Fanes Highlands, which are located inside the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature reserve in the Dolomites national park are beautiful. And during the winter months, when covered with snow, they are a fantastic area to explore, especially on a showshoe tour. And I am offering the chance to spend 3 full days in order to explore this gorgeous area.
Each day on this trip will provide a unique and exciting experience. However, a lot of our routing will be dependent on weather and snow conditions.
A typical itinerary is as follows:
On the first day we will make make our way up to the Rifugio Ucia de Sennes, where we will spend the night.
On the second day, we will make our way down to the Rifugio Pederu. After that, we will climb to the Rifugio Lavarella. From there, there is an option to climb up to the Forcella de Medesc (2,533m).
On the third day, we will climb up to the Passo de Limo before making our way down along the Fanes valley.
The views you will get throughout the tour are incredible. Furthermore, the snowshoeing itself is a lot of fun, and will provide you with a great deal of exercise. Also, the difficulty level on this trip is fairly moderate, so as long as you are in good physical condition, and are prepared for 3 full days of snowshoe touring, you can have a great time!
This is a great trip for anybody who loves exploring a beautiful place. So if you want to take a 3 day snowshoe tour through a gorgeous area of natural beauty, this is the trip for you. If you want to join me, just send me a request.
I also lead a 1 day snowshoe tour through the Carnic Alps and the Friulian Dolomites.

Mountain Guide
I was still a child when my passion for high altitude began and grew with me. I was born in Trieste, Italy. Still young, I was carried by my parents, passionate trekkers, onto the mountains.
In the following years, I did all the activities one can do on mountains; from rock climbing to classic rock routes, to high altitude, to ice falls, to ski-touring, to free-riding, to spending every period of my free time wearing climbing shoes, ski-boots or crampons; the different equipment depended on the season I was in.
This passion for open spaces drove me and helped me make solid and long experiences in every kind of mountain activity there is. I graduated in Sports Science in order to pave the way to becoming an Alpine Guide.
Passion for outdoor life; independent of which activity you are doing—this is what I promote. Climbing, skiing, mountaineering, these activities are not a gym where we show off to others. They are reason to travel and explore new places that don’t belong in our ordinary, everyday life. They are a way to live as true adventurers. During any mountain trip, I take in the beauty of nature and enjoy relaxing in it.
