Description

I will take you on an adventurous 1-day rock climbing trip to the magnificent towers of Cinque Torri with your complete family! You’ll have an unforgettable experience as you and your kids participate in this group activity, bonding and enjoying every bit of adventure near Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Located in the Dolomites, Cinque Torri is an ideal place to start for first-time climbers. But, don’t be disappointed if you are an experienced climber as there is an array of routes to choose from, both for beginners and veterans.

One of the most beautiful climbing spots in the region, you’ll be mesmerized by the stunning view of the surrounding rocks and the serene Dolomite valley from the top. I will ensure your safe climb, and as you’ll rise, be ready to experience ‘verticle emotions’ with your family!

We’ll meet in the morning on the day of the climb, and go to Cinque Torri chairlift. We’ll take the lift to the beautiful belvedere of Rifugio Scoiattoli-an alpine- style chalet surrounded by magnificent peaks. The view from this open-air gallery is outstanding!

Next, we’ll walk down to the bottom of the rocks and explore the area. I’ll teach you about the correct use of equipment and rope and instruct you how to climb! Trust me, you’ll feel no less than an ‘alpine climber’ as you scale up to 10/ 20 m, for the first time!

There are numerous vertices ranging from 10m to 200m which provide multiple routes of varying length and difficulty for experienced climbers as well.

We’ll also learn a bit about the history as some of the fiercest combats of WW1 took place here. You’ll have a feel of the bygone times as you come across various historical trails and trenches in the area.

Request to book this amazing trip in the Cinque Torri for a memorable rock climbing experience with your family! Also check out this snowshoeing experience on the Mondeval, in the Dolomites!

Mountain Guide

I was born in the plain in 1983, but as often happens to those who were born there, I have always loved the mountains. I was three years old when I wore my first skis, not knowing that this would become my strongest passion ... Skiing, walking, climbing: it is since I was a child that I go to the mountains, first with my parents and my grandfather and then with my friends.

The degree in forestry science was only the logical consequence of this passion, as well as the beautiful summers spent managing the refuge Capanna Punta Penia in Marmolada (the highest refuge in the Dolomites, on top of the highest mountain in the Dolomites!), which I call "the bus without wheels" and all over the Dolomites!
The last step (for now...) was to become a Mountain Guide, to let you experience what the mountain transmits to me!
… and to show you the famous " bus without wheels”

Giovanni was an exceptionally wonderful guide! Our family spent the day with him climbing in Cinque Torri. He was incredibly patient with our children, and was able to find routes that we all enjoyed climbing. We loved every minute of the day and would recommend this trip to any family interested in doing some sport climbing near Cortina/Cinque Torri.
