Description

Located above 2000 meters, I propose you to join me for a magical trekking experience, off the beaten tracks, with a night in a mountain hut. The hike to the Ruitor hut is very accessible and perfect for families with young kids. The surroundings of Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise offer a lot of possibilities to discover alpine environments: alpine hamlets, military remainings, hydroelectric installations, hidden lakes, fauna, flora … An infinite playground for young and old with lots of stories to tell, experiences to live and lifetime memories to create.

It’s my great pleasure to bring families and allow kids to have a very unique experience while learning a lot of new things about the mountains.

This 2-day hiking tour is perfect if you come with your family to one of the resorts in the area (Tignes, Val d’Isère, Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosière, Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, etc.) during the summer and are looking for something different to experience, together with a local guide.

You’ll find below an example of a 2-day program. I can, of course, adapt it based on the wishes and the hiking/fitness level of the group.

Feel free to get in touch with me so I can start planning for you and guide you in my home mountains for 2 days (or more).

In the early evening, before dinner, we’ll visit “Le Plateau de la Saissière” with its alpine hamlets and learn about these small villages history. We will also see the alpine rivers coming out of the glaciers and observe the fauna & the flora.

I’ll then introduce everyone to the life in a hut, we’ll have dinner and then a good sleep.

Day 2: Alpine discoveries along the way

After breakfast, our adventure will start again.

We’ll be walking along a very nice alpine river. I’ll bring you out of the beaten tracks and lead you to a little secret alpine lake that I like very much. From there, we’ll have the possibility to see and learn a lot of new things that I will introduce you to.

What people are saying about this trip

Louis

W spend two incredible days hiking with our family guided by Aurélie. Aurélie not only guided us through breathtaking views but also showed particular skills to motivate and animate our childrens (7,5y, 5,5y and 2,5y). They definitely keep warm memories of their first hiking and overnight experience in the Alps. We highly recommend all families to experience this type of hike with Aurélie. Thank you very much! LH
