Would you like to enjoy a unique family adventure in the Dolomites? Then join me on this 4-day program in Cortina d’Ampezzo and I will show you some amazing WWI tunnels, via ferratas and rock climbing options for all levels that will make your family holiday unforgettable!
Outdoor adventures are a great way for families to bond and the Dolomites offer a wide variety of options as well as stunning landscapes to explore. On this 4-day program, I have designed an itinerary that combines different activities to keep things fun and interesting for everyone. Each day, we will enjoy a hike and a climb or a via ferrata. However, the program can be adapted to suit everyone’s needs, and some of the activities are optional.
On this program, we will sleep in 3 different huts. Each hut is no more than a 2-hour hike away from the next. Therefore, participants will need to be able to hike a minimum of 2 hours a day. Of course, there will be plenty more to do if you are up for it too! I will be there every step of the way to help and guide you. Children as young as 5 can join. You can find a detailed description of the itinerary below.
You can also read about one family’s adventure in the Dolomites here.

Or if you prefer, I also offer tailored via ferrata adventures in the Dolomites.
8.30-9.00 Meeting on Passo Falzarego. Today highlight will be the World War 1 tunnels. We may take the cable car to Lagazuoi and walk down through the tunnels or we may hike up (3 hrs) to Lagazuoi and then walk down through the tunnels. Afterward, we can go on an extra hike to Sass the Stria and enjoy another 360° view or do some rock climbing on monopitches, or an easy via ferrata (Fusetti on Sass de Stria).
We will hike for a couple of hours on the beautiful 419 trail to reach Rifugio Averau where we’ll rest and drop some weight of our backpacks to go climbing on the Averau via ferrata. Then we’ll hike down (20 minutes) to our hut (Rifugio Scoiattoli).
We will start the day with some rock climbing on the charming spires of Cinque Torri. After that, we’ll go hiking to our next hut, Malga Giau, a typical cow farm close to Passo Giau.
We will reach the top of Nuvolau climbing up 500 meters on the really easy Gusela del Nuvolau via ferrata. After reaching this 360° peak we can choose to either go down the easy way to Bai de Dones with a chairlift or hike back to the meeting point of Passo Falzarego.

Mountain Guide
I was born in Bozen and I have been living all my life long in Fassa Valley, Dolomites. That's why my native language is ladin, a reto-romanic language spoken around Sella.
My big passion besides traveling is mountains and guiding because I love to show the people the beauty of the mountains.
I was a member of the Italian National Alpine Ski from 1990 to 1997 when I became Ski Instructor. In 2009
I became an IFMAG Mountain guide. I guide in the Dolomites, Sarca valley, Sizialian vulcanoes, Ortles Cevedale area, and Sardinia.
