Description

Cortina d’Ampezzo is a wonderful town in the middle of Dolomite mountains in the Alps of Italy. Around this town are a number of fantastic spots for great climbs as well as amazing via ferratas. One via ferrata in particular, the Ettore Bovero will be the focus of this day long adventure.

Quite difficult, and reserved for those with prior experience on via ferratas, the Ettore Bovero is a tremendous adventure. On this via ferrata, you will climb to the top of the Col Rosa (2,160m). The trip will take approximately 5 hours, and once you reach the summit, the views you will get of the Dolomite peaks, including nearby Tofane (3,244m) and Pomagagnon (2,450m), as well as the surrounding valley will be extraordinary.

Our journey will begin along the forest road to the trail mark 417. From there, we will take the path 408 and climb to the Posporcora pass. After that, we will reach the via ferrata, which we will begin ascending. Arduous at points, concentration and proper maneuvering will be essential until we reach the summit. Afterwards, we will make our way back on the trail 447 into the valley and back to the cars.

While this is a group trip, there are also private tours of this via ferrata available as well.

An opportunity to see the Dolomites from the top of one its peaks is an opportunity you shouldn’t pass up. And on this full day trip, I would like to give you the chance to enjoy those views at the top of the Col Rosa by way of the Ettore Bovero via ferrata. So send us a request, and let the fun begin!

The trip itself and Refaelo the guide was great and they even gave a refund for my daughter who didn't participate at last due to sickness. But All the corresponding before the trip was bad. No details were given about the ferrata and not even about the meeting point and time. It took a lot of time to get answers for my questions and sometimes didn't get any.
