I invite you to this 5-day ski touring trip in Sicily. We will be exploring the slopes of the unique Etna volcano, in a beautiful region of Italy.
This is your chance to ski up and down Europe’s highest active volcano, rising to 3343 meters. In fact, with a radius of 20 km, it is also the largest in the continent. Therefore you can rest assured that the options during this trip are endless. Overlooking the sea at some points, this experience will stay engraved in your memory.
The climate conditions at the Etna volcano usually create a rather compact snow. Besides, the steepness of the slopes is great, ideal for medium skiers. From the cablecar station we can reach up to 2500m in only 3 hours with the seal skins. We will be able to see the 4 craters close up.
Sicily in itself is already a wonderful destination. The Mediterranean feeling combined with a mild climate put you in the right mood. In addition, the traditional cuisine and warm welcome that Italians do so well will make you never want to leave.
Tempted about discovering the Etna volcano on your skis? Then book this trip and join me on this ski touring adventure! And here is another ski touring program in Italy that I enjoy greatly: 4 days in Val Formazza and Alpe Devero.

poor weather limited the experience. We had hoped for a guide more familiar with the area, our first and last night were in a remote place requiring an hours walk. We only learnt about this on the day of departure. otherwise no problems
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
