All year
Esmeralda Lagoon is a classic trek at the end of the world, in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. That’s why I’d like to invite you to this 4-hour trek suitable for all levels of hikers.
During the hike we will enjoy a forest environment, several rivers and of course, the beautiful Esmeralda Lagoon. It lies just in the heart of the Fuegian Mountain Range. Furthermore, the scenery around the lagoon is really stunning: the Bonete Mount, the “Ojo del Albino” glacier and the Domo Blanco are some of the landscape’s main stars.
This trekking does not involve any technical difficulty and it’s a very enjoyable trail. Moreover, once in the Esmeralda Lagoon we will delight our souls with a delicious hot tea. In that way, we will be ready to head back.
You can choose between two scheduled departures:
Option #1: departure at 9 a.m / return at 13 p.m
Option #2: departure at 14 a.m / return at 18 p.m
Besides that, let me tell you this guided trek is available during all the year. In fact, if you want to do it in winter there is no problem! In that case, we will use snowshoes. It will be great!

Pablo was excellent as always and put us in touch with Julian Lopez who organised 4 days of splitboarding in North Patagonia. His knowledge as a guide and as an Argentine were thoroughly appreciated. Highly recommended.

I spent three days on the glaciers above Chamonix with Jeremias at the beginning of July 2015, preparing for a three week tour with him to Patagonia. I cannot recommend Jeremias' guiding highly enough. He is highly expert in everything concerning the mountains and was truly excellent company throughout. I cannot wait to go again!
